Youth day at Posidonia is going to take place on Friday, June 10th 2022, 10.30-17.00hrs at Metropolitan Expo - Posidonia Conference Hall with the organization of YES to Shipping Forum 2022. University & School students, graduates, executives, representatives of the academic community, Ministries and key Maritime Organizations will be there to discuss, ask questions and receive answers on both sides.
Recognizing the importance of the Posidonia Exhibition for the shipping community worldwide, YES FORUM team will give the opportunity to the young generation to live the Posidonia experience and search their own professional path.
AGENDA
10.30-12.15: ΥΕS TOUR
In the first part, young people will visit more than 30 Stands of Shipping Companies representing the whole spectrum of maritime cluster, be informed about the products and services offered by them, give their CVs and explore possible cooperation with them.
13.00-14.30: YES TO SHIPPING FORUM 2022
Greetings will be addressed by:

o Ioannis Plakiotakis, Minister of Shipping and Insular Policy
o Niki Kerameus, Minister of Education and Religious Affairs of Greece
Themis Vokos, Founder and President of Posidonia Exhibition S.A. will share with the audience the history of Posidonia Exhibition counting more than 50 years.
A tribute will be made to Theodore Veniamis for his 13year course as the President of the Union of Greek Shipowners and his valuable contribution to the Greek Shipping.
14.30 – 17.00: ROUND CHAIR DIALOGUES
Then there will be 16 parallel discussions between young participants and the 55 executives and academics. Every 30 minutes the speakers will change cycle so that our young people wil be able to get to know as many members of the shipping community as possible and live the experience of Posidonia to the fullest.

YES FORUM is an initiative of Danae Bezantakou, CEO of NAVIGATOR SHIPPING CONSULTANTS which is supported by a group of 80 young students and executives and since 2016 it is under the auspices of the majority of Greek Universities, the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Shipping and Island Policy and the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping.
The YES to Shipping Forum in Posidonia has been organized since 2016 and only during the pandemic has succeeded in organizing:
- 23 open dialogues which lasted more than 60 hours with more than 140 speakers, answering 1,000 questions
- Through our social networks, shares and posts about YES FORUM more than 2,000,000
people have seen learned or heard about us.
- On average term, 70 volunteers participate in the group annually.
- The members of YES forum advisory board have exceeded 150 and
the number of students who have been informed about shipping is over 10,000
- 50 youth voluntary organizations support us in Greece and abroad.
