During the 27th-30th June,
the University of Piraeus with the assistance of the Institute for Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of Greece’s National Technical University of Athens, will welcome and host the Athens European Conference on Networks and Communications (
EUCNC), at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso Hotel.
Τhe European Commission is the platinum
patron of the
EUCNC, while other leading companies and institutions, local and regional, have also contributed.
The agenda of the 25th edition of the
EUCNC covers key aspects of
"The Dawn of 5G" and the development 5G telecommunications systems and services, for faster, more efficient, safer interactivity during Internet usage.
The
EUCNC2016 is relevant to both the academic community, as well as agencies, companies and investors interested to stay up to date with telecommunications systems’ market trends.
The
EUCNC2016 is a knowledge provider for new applications in the digital economy (eg smart cities, new manufacturing systems, intelligent power systems, etc.). Its theme is at the core of the EU’s objectives for the development of innovation and jobs, as part of the EU’s activities to be a world leader in technology research.
Keynote speakers are well established leaders, representing pioneering companies (China Mobile, PSA, Qualcomm, OTE Group) that will share with the audience the latest developments, investments together with their conclusions. During the event, lead scientists and speakers will host a multitude of
workshops, panels, tutorials, special sessions, where the audience can participate in.

EUCNC, the leading scientific institutional conference of the EU, to Greece (in other structures was previously hosted in Rhodes (1998) ,Thessaloniki(2002) and Mykonos (2006) highlights also the robust dynamics of Greek universities and companies that remain competitive and at the forefront of global research.
